ALBERT RECEIVES KUDOS FOR HIS COMMITMENT TO MAINTAIN & EXPAND AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Albert, who shares the same Caribbean and South American ancestry with Queens Borough President Hon. Helen Marshall, reiterates his commitment to making housing more affordable, an area she has focused intensely on during her present tenure. "We must support her efforts," Baldeo urges.

Rochdale Cooperators, Joseph Marthone and Abiola, congratulate Albert Baldeo for his leadership in preserving Mitchell-Lama housing in Queens. Baldeo brought a class action lawsuit challenging the increases and called for an independent forensic audit about how their monies were spent. "Low income housing initiatives must be expanded and preserved," Baldeo said. "We are looking at other housing projects where housing can be expanded," Baldeo reiterated.

Rochdale's Abiola, exemplary Community Board 12's President Dr. Gloria Black, Albert Baldeo, and other residents of Queens congratulated Dr. Black for her award for community service. "Affordable housing and the preservation of our neighborhoods is a priority issue on our agendas," Baldeo said.
